International Conference on Financial Stability and Implications of Basel II is organized by the Central Bank of Turkey and will be held in Istanbul on 16-18 May 2005.

The main focus of the Conference is to consider the concept of Financial Stability from different perspectives (international organizations, central banks, academics, practitioners) and to explore the interrelation between financial stability and Basel II within the context of its 3 pillars.

The aim of the Conference is to provide an international platform with the participation of leading practitioners and academics for exchanging views and enhancing cooperation on Financial Stability and to explore the interrelation between financial stability and Basel II.
