In order to promote Turkey on international economic platforms and foster mutual relations and cooperation with other central banks and international institutions, the CBRT organized meetings, seminars, panels, workshops and conferences to discuss recent financial and economic topics of both Turkey’s economy and world economy.

In this context, organizations hosted by the CBRT which brought together leading academics and central bankers are as follows:

• The workshop on “Macroprudential Instruments and Financial Cycles” jointly organized with European Central Bank Network in İstanbul on 22 March 2016,
• The conference on “The Future of Islamic Banking and Economics in Search of New Normal” in İstanbul on 4-5 April 2016
• 15^th Regional Payment Systems Workshop jointly organized with the BIS Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures in İzmir Özdere on 17-20 May 2016,
• Meeting on “39^th Meeting of the Technical Committee of the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB)” jointly organized with IFSB in İstanbul on 1 June 2016,
• The conference on “Economic Growth and Income Convergence” jointly organized with European Central Bank in İzmir on 2-3 September 2016,
• The conference on “Uses of Central Balance Sheet Data Offices’ Information” jointly organized with “European Committee of Central Balance Sheet Data Offices” (ECCBSO) and “Irving Fisher Committee” in İzmir on 26 September 2016,
• 38^th Plenary Meeting of ECCBSO hosted by CBRT in İzmir on 28-29 September 2016.
