2.15 Corporate Social Responsibility Activities

In addition to fulfilling its primary duties and responsibilities, the CBRT continued to take part in social responsibility projects.

After the 1999 earthquake, the CBRT built the Central Bank Derince Anatolian High School to support the region. In 2025, the CBRT continued to grant scholarships to successful graduates of the high school, who have enrolled in a university and who satisfy certain criteria, for the duration of their university education. In the 2024-2025 academic year, 28 students actively benefited from the scholarship. A total of 152 students, excluding the scholarship recipients for the 2025-2026 academic year, have been awarded scholarships since 2002, when the school graduated its first students. Moreover, to encourage the level of success at the school, a graduation ceremony was organized and successful students were rewarded with plaques.

Furthermore, the CBRT organized celebrations for the National Sovereignty and Children’s Day on April 23 for the students of Şehit Serkan Angay Elementary School and Middle School in Şile, İstanbul.

The CBRT granted 3,179 pieces of furniture and fixtures (office, kitchen, health and safety equipment, and IT equipment etc.) to 43 public institutions.
