The risks associated with financial stability have been discussed on various platforms, especially in the Economic Coordination Council and Financial Stability Committee and required measures are implemented in a timely fashion. In this context, the CBRT also continues to work in co-operation and co-ordination with other authorities.
In 2016, the CBRT continued sharing its views and assessments about financial stability with the public via the Financial Stability Reports published twice in a year. In addition to the Financial Stability Reports, the CBRT continued its contributions to economics literature via economic notes, research notes and publications in internationally prestigious journals. These works aimed at supplementing the views discussed in the Financial Stability Reports. Additionally, assessments about financial stability are released on the CBRT Blog to share the views of the CBRT’s personnel and to contribute to the economic agenda.
The CBRT kept its support to international publications and meetings in co-operation and co-ordination with other domestic institutions. The relations with international organizations that have international mandates on financial stability, e.g. the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Bank for International Settlements (BIS), continued in 2016. The cooperation with these institutions generally took the form of exchanging views on their reports. Relations with these institutions are maintained through meetings and sharing the CBRT’s opinions on their reports.
