The decree regarding the approval of the Interbank Card Center’s (BKM) activities, which are carried out as a card system organization in order to enable banks and nonbank financial institutions operating in Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to issue and acquire cards, within the scope of other activities that the BKM can perform, and the inclusion of these activities in the content of the license granted to the BKM for operating a payment system, pursuant to the “Law on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions” dated 20 June 2013, No. 6493, and Article 17 of “Regulation on Operations of Payment and Securities Settlement Systems” which was issued in the Official Gazette dated 28 June 2014, No. 29044, was issued in the Official Gazette on 26 March 2016, No. 29665.
